Studio shots

Studio shoots are not as difficult as it may seems. When you have all the lighting set up, it is easy to control.

Using a light backdrop will give a fashion look to a portrait.

Here, the model, (Rin) posing as to his first photohoot.

I think studio shoots are easier than shooting out in the open.

2 lights with softbox are all it take to get this shot.

Natasha Hudson

A quick portrait session for TV host Natasha Hudson. Just before the recording of a Fashion TV Show.

She just natural to the camera.

All in all, it only took a few minutes to capture these photos. She is just amazing!

Lookin' to my eyes.

Portrait. sometimes you can just take about 10 shots and all of them turn out to be good. Here Sarah, in her fun mood had something different in her mind. I just need to get the camera ready and fire away.

Love this as you can see Sarah's eyes with the shadow on her left.

In any portrait, the eyes is important, doesn't matter if it looking at the camera or otherwise.Portrait doesn't mean that the shots have to be vertical, landscape is also portrait.

Do you see the eyes first or the hand?

My favourite shot.

Portraits

When someone say portrait, studio, or vertical type of photo comes to mind. I live portraits! Love to take portraits of my children, Liza, my wife and whoever I can shoot! Portraiture photography is special because it can really bring out the character in you.

Portraits can be taken both in lanscape and verticle. Someone use the term portrait as verticle shot only. That is not true. When I shoot animals, that can be portraits too. Headshot, shoulder length shot, side profile shot are some of the portraits you can do. To take a portrait, you don't have to do it in a studio, or even have special lighting system. You can do it anywhere with enough lights.

Best portraits are taken in the evening. The reflection of the lights coming in thru the window work wonders! Studio lighting try to simulate this and it takes hours just to get it right.
